Tharolsavam, A refreshing change

As Sachin is taking his own time to motivate  me  to write the second part of “Sachin, My Role Model” (I’m waiting for him to score his 50th 100 in Tests), I thought to write about some of the good things that came across  me  these days.

One such is the reality show”Tharaolsavam” ( shown in Kairali TV @8PM). The good thing about the show is that it helps/helped to change the images of some of the highly talented artists whom many, including me, had underrated as “just”serial artists. The show brings out colourful performances of those artists who were mostly seen in tearful serials (which I never prefer to watch).  Also, it’s a good change for the viewers from the overdone singing- based reality shows.

It is a competition among eight teams comprised of well known serial/cinema artists, and is the first of its kind in Malayalam. There are songs, skits, dances etc.

There are some good dancers in the show viz.  Mahalakshmi,Krishna prabha, Sony, Veena nair, Anitha, John Jacob, Firozkhan, Ansil, Kaviraj etc. (It’s amazing that I can remember all these names!!)

It’s a show that helps mini-screen artists to score over their big-screen counter parts in gaining appreciation and acceptance for their individual talents.

one more "kidilam" performance, I liked.
